Organic Farming In March 2005 a new training programme in organic farming was started. The participants are 40 women from low income families. The programme is aimed to encourage women’s co-operatives, help introduce and promote new farm products and scientific techniques and increase women’s participation in local governance and village development activities. The Academy has set up an organic farm and water conservation model as a demonstration unit for sustainable agriculture.
