Bol Bhasha Publications started a children’s magazine on communal harmony titled Bol in 2004. Bol is focused on eliminating communal tensions by building mutual respect and understanding regarding different communities and religions among children. The magazine was conceptualized to include different versions of folk epics, mythical and historical events, ecology, puzzles, scientific inventions, folklore, songs and stories and is run by adivasis actively involved in Bhasha’s non formal education program. Material for the magazine is sourced from teachers and children of the region. Bol reaches out to nearly 2000 children in various non formal education centers run by Bhasha and other organizations as well as the formal schools in all adivasi populated areas of Gujarat. 11 issues of Bol have been published over the last 2 yrs and Shri Vikram Chaudhari is the editor of this magazine. |
