Chhotaudepur Sculpture at Cambridge

A local sculptor, Balu Rathwa, hailing from Ganthia village in Chhotaudepur district of Gujarat, was commissioned by the Cambridge Museum of Archeology and Anthropology to prepare figures of their traditional Khatridev and Gheriya in 2016. The images are now a part of the collections of the Museum of Archaeology being sourced from Adivasi communities in response to the Museum’s own historic collections.
